Ecdesign is an important part of the sales process at PODAB
Ecdesign: How would you say Ecdesign has changed the way your organization does business?
Erik Cornelius: We have been creating 3D renderings to visualize laundry rooms since 2006. The main difference, when we started using Ecdesign in 2014, is that more people in the organization could start making visualizations without having to learn complexed CAD software. Another advantage with Ecdesign is that it requires less computer power which gives more people access to it in our company.

Ecdesign: Would you say that Ecdesign helps you win more projects?
Erik Cornelius: Visualizations of the products we offer, placed in a representation of the costumer’s laundry room, is a complement to the quotation and I’m convinced that it helps in winning more projects.
Ecdesign: How important is Ecdesign when working with new customers?
Erik Cornelius: Ecdesign is one of many tools we use in our sales process. We need to use these tools the proper way to gain the trust of new costumers. In some cases, Ecdesign and visualizations plays a bigger role and in some there is little or no need for 3D renderings.
Ecdesign: Can you tell us about how Ecdesign is used in the sales process?
Erik Cornelius: We use the software during the quotation stage. We always try to find the best solution to fit the costumer need and an image or a video clip is a powerful tool for visualizing our proposal. In many cases 3D images also help to find the best layout option in the laundry room. We need to make sure that there is enough space for handling the laundry and operate the products in a good and ergonomic way.
Ecdesign: Do you think Ecdesign helps increase customer satisfaction?
Erik Cornelius: Combined with our knowledge in finding the best solution for each costumer the software can help increase the satisfaction level. When showing our vision of a laundry room, in writing or in 3D images, the costumer builds up expectations. When we win the project it’s our job to make sure that these expectations are met or surpassed to get high costumer satisfaction.
