Motståndskraft - a powerful day at Örebro Concert Hall
On October 24, Motståndskraft took place at the concert hall, bringing together students and a group of adults for an afternoon focused on drive, focus, and mental strength. The event, organized by Richard Grönberg, offered insights and inspiration for everyone in the audience.
Three contributors took the stage: Martin Lidberg and Charbel Gabro, who shared their personal stories of challenges and how they overcame them, and Kevin Walker, who provided music and set the tone for the event with his performance.
After the presentations, Charbel Gabro asked the students what they had taken away from the session. Their responses included self-confidence, hope, courage to be themselves, and inspiration.
“Always be yourself, and remember you never know what someone else is going through.”
One student, who also wrestles, said they look up to Martin Lidberg for overcoming a serious knee injury without giving up. When asked what they took from Martin’s talk, the student simply said: “Not giving up.”
Another student, who plays football, shared that they took with them the importance of always being yourself and remembering that you don’t know what someone else is going through. When asked who they see as role models, the student mentioned Martin Lidberg, the wrestler, and Kevin Walker, who is a footballer and has played for the national team.
The audience was engaged, listening and reflecting on the speakers’ experiences. The combination of personal storytelling and music created a memorable experience, highlighting how resilience develops through challenges, support, and persistence.
For everyone involved, including those documenting the event, it was a clear reminder of the impact initiatives like Motståndskraft can have.
Thanks to everyone who joined, and to Pavel Koubek for capturing the day. The stories and discussions from the event show how listening to different journeys can help us all reflect on our own paths.
